I learnt something of great value today while playing badminton with a close friend. I played four games, lost the first two but with a good fight.
After losing the first two I realized my flaws in the games played. The only way to work around it is to have the opponent play more towards your weakness so that you can improve. That’s what I did in the third game. No! I didn’t win. I rather lost very poorly but in the fourth game I bounced back and won.
I did lose the three games, but I learnt a valuable lesson. In the first two there was no intention. I just played for the sake of playing. In the third I played to better my performance and the intention was not to win but to learn BUT in the fourth all that I wanted was to win, and yes I did Win.
It’s all about the intention. When you think you want to lose, and lose you will. But when you want to win, you will either win or learn a winning lesson. Either way you win!
