It’s been more than a month since “i got back” and started anew with more focus and determination on Ek Titli. I had promised that I am going to make an effort to log my daily experiments and conversations with Gaia (Mother Earth). The reason being that I don’t wish to withhold any learning’s that I am continuously receiving from Gaia. I am sure this will be of great help and will surely make life simpler and easier for you. The other reason is that there are and has been so many people who have been helping me, supporting me through various means in my quest to fulfill my dreams. Through my logs, my experiments and my conversations I wish to share, give and silently thank them for their kindness.
My approach now is going to be instinctive and once-on-the-mind-on-the-floor. I am encouraging myself to never say no and try everything that is in sync with my visions and focus.
Apart from the experiments and initiatives, I also plan to share all the great work that others are doing in the field of Green. This is a subset of our Positive-Green-Magazine that can be found here.
I wish that this blog can be of immense help. And So Shall It Be 🙂
Initiatives already undertaken:
The Hive, Ek Titli’s play ground is located at The Urban Ashram in Pune where we have integrated meditating with a Tulsi plant (the Holy Basil) on Wednesday’s from 7-8 pm as a part of “Silence Hour” [?]. We also hand a Tulsi Sapling in a coconut shell to one of the meditators as a gift encouraging him/her to take a step to go green and also enjoy the benefits of this Super-Hero-Plant [?].
December Daan:”What we waste today is what we have to live with tomorrow.”
This was a joint initiative between The Urban Ashram and Ek Titli that invited people to donate their ‘waste’ because what is Waste to you is Gold for someone in need. Through this initiative called “December Daan”, we encouraged them to donate all the things they have around that they do not need.
All the donations was in turn re-distributed to relevant organizations.
Organic Terrace Gardens: Currently under experimentation phase where I am using garden waste only (no soil) to grow plants esp vegetables in a 12 x 3 ft bed. I plan to use other raw materials apart from garden waste eg, kitchen waste, soil, coco peat [?] and in different environments.
The current test is being carried out in open space with adequate sun light.
Solar energy: My Conversations with GaiaThere is a huge potential of Solar in India, esp in this part of the country that receives approximately 300 days of sunshine in the year. My first step to provide complete solar based solutions has started with developing business for a local and renowned Solar water heating company.
Status – working on easily executable plans through which I can increase awareness and hence develop the market for Solar water heating within the city and surrounding regions for residential & Commercial purpose.
