Its a glorious Sunday morning.Sitting with a bunch of last weeks newspapers as I was too worked up preparing for the dance and fashion auditions since our annual function is just round the corner.
We are a group of six who’ve set this dance in just about two days! It took a toll on our sleep and particularly on my knees which I had injured in one of my football games. The practices only aggravated my misery and pain.
We put up a good show for our dance auditions. The only slacked performance being mine as I forgot most of the steps.
From the stage I could see all my friends cheering and looking at me perform. After every good step the smiles on their faces widened and thumbs went up saying ‘good step’. Eager to reply to them then, only resulted in loss of concentration and ultimately the cause of many blunders.
We sailed through the auditions with no major hiccup as the dance was appreciated by one and all.
All the hard work finally paid and we are all gearing up for the big day. Practicing new steps and adding more sequences to the dance.
